Asproulis (Whitey) now 11 years old was abandoned outside the shelter with Ringo and he kept hiding from Vaso in the bushes and trees. Many times she tried to catch him and he crept around the outside of the shelter and the olive fields like a white ghost. Very elusive, it took 2 months to catch him. He was full of fleas when caught. He shares a pen with Hector and Ira.

The shelters survival relies totally on donations. There is no help from the local municipality. There is no animal pound to take a stray or lost dog to. The responsibility falls on the shoulders of good humans like Vaso to try and help.
