This pup was born to a stray Mum on the farms behind the cemetery. Vaso fed them and their Mum twice a day till one day Fotis went missing. He was taken by a farmer and thrown in the chicken coup after it took Vaso over an hour to find him and get him out having to break wires and untie rope to get a whimpering scared Fotis out. All pups are at the shelter safe and out of harm’s way.

Martha was rescued in September 2023 after she and her 3 siblings were found drowning when Storm Daniel hit Greece. Born to a stray Mum at the local cemetery stray colony her Mum went missing. So the four babies were rescued and are all thriving. Born July 2023 — Martha Kitten

The shelters survival relies totally on donations. There is no help from the local municipality. There is no animal pound to take a stray or lost dog to. The responsibility falls on the shoulders of good humans like Vaso to try and help.
